The subclass 103 and subclass 804 visas are permanent visas for parents who have a child permanently settled in Australia.
About this Visa
You must be sponsored by your child or their spouse, and in some cases a community organisation. These visas are severely capped. This means applicants may remain queued for over 30 years. Because of this, many applicants choose the more expensive Contributory parent visas.
Applicants for the subclass 103 and 804 visas are not eligible for a bridging visa. This means that even if you are onshore when you apply, you can not remain onshore during the 30 year processing time frame unless you hold another substantive visa.
