The Recognised Graduate Visa (subclass 476)
Overview
Only graduates from a select number of universities and technical colleges, including institutions with Washington Accord accreditation may be eligible for this visa.
Engineering Graduates
You must have completed an engineering degree at a specified educational institution in the past 2 years to be eligible for this visa.
This qualification must be in an engineering discipline, such as:
- civil engineering
- structural engineering
- chemical engineering
- environmental engineering
- electrical and electronics engineering
- mechanical, production and plant engineering
- mining and material engineering
The department also accept an engineering degree (or higher qualification) from certain educational institutions from the following countries:
- Argentina
- Brazil
- Chile
- Finland
- Germany
- Hungary
- India
- Iran
- People's Republic of China
- Philippines
- Poland
- Slovakia
- Sweden
- Tanzania
Length of Visa
Usually up to 18 months
